The TAP splint assists with normalizing gait patterns by providing a slow stretch from ankle to hip. It's ideal for people with hypotonicity, mild to moderate hypertonicity following CVA, head injury, and for people with CP, MS, or lower extremity paralysis or weakness. The lightweight splint fits comfortably in the shoe and over orthotics. The TAP splint provides functional positioning and soft support of the foot and ankle. Splints that are used for foot inversion will also provide hip external rotation, and when they are used for eversion, internal hip rotation will occur, circumferential straps support the ankle and arch. Youth size fits most children from 3 years to adolescents. Adult sizes fits most adolescents and adults. Youth straps is 2" (5cm) wide; adult strap is 3" (7.6cm) wide.
