1. There is an additional $15 shipping & handling fee required to drop-ship a Posey Patient Restraint Device to a residential (home) shipping address. The physician's Rx must be received by Rehabmart prior to the shipping of the patient restraint.
2. If a homebound patient requires a Posey Restraint, then fax your physician's "restraint" Prescription to Rehabmart at fax# 888-507-7326 and we will then forward-ship your order to your residential (home) address. Lead Time: 7 - 10 business days.
3. Rehabmart is not allowed to directly drop-ship Posey Patient Restraint Devices to a residential address directly from the Posey Company.
4. We can, however, drop-ship Posey Restraints Devices to Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Healthcare Facilities without any additional shipping/handling fees.

Straps attach to bed frame out of patient's reach. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Lay the belt horizontally across the bed with the soft flannel side up toward

the small of the patient’s back, and the back pad in the center of the bed.

2. Secure the short strap to the movable part of the bed frame, with

quick-release ties at waist level, out of the patient’s reach.

3. Bring the long strap over and around the patient’s waist and back

behind the patient through the slot in the back pad.

4. Secure the long strap to the movable part of the bed frame out of the

patient’s reach with quick-release ties or with quick-release buckles

(Cat. No. 1231Q).

When limited patient movement is desired:

1. Lay the belt horizontally across the bed with the soft flannel side

down and align with the small of the patient’s back and abdomen.

2. Secure the short strap to the movable part of the bed frame with

quick-release ties or buckles at waist level, out of the patient’s reach.

3. Move the belt to the side, place the patient on the bed and put the

belt with the soft flannel side down over the patient’s waist. The slot

should be in front on the patient’s abdomen (Fig. 1).

4. Wrap the long strap under the patient and back around the patient’s

waist through the slot in the pad.

5. Secure the long strap to the movable part of the bed frame out the

patient’s reach with quick-release ties or buckles.

Straps should always be snug, but not interfere with breathing.  You should be able to place your flat hand between patient and belt.
