The Kaye Suspension Accessory with the Kaye Harness, holds the client securely and allows the client to practice over ground walking with partial or full weightbearing as needed. Clinical studies have shown that this is a particularly useful intervention strategy when postural instability, weakness or the fear of falling inhibits gaining or regaining reciprocal movements for walking. (see clinical evidence reports page 45).
The Kaye Postural Control Walker folds with the Suspension Accessory in place for easy transportation or storage. The Suspension Accessory removes with snap buttons when it is appropriate for the client to use the walker independent of suspension or when more compact folding is needed.
The Kaye Suspension Accessory attached to the Kaye Posture Control Walker is particularly useful to practice partial weight-bearing walking in the same contexts that a client might use a walker. However, the Kaye Treadmill Width Adapter (page 49) allows this product to be used for treadmill practice, eliminating the need in many cases for a separate system for the purpose of treadmill training.
Harnesses are sold separately. Find them here http://www.rehabmart.com/product/12020.htm
