1) THE REGULAR BASE TOP (ON BOTH SINGLE AND DOUBLE) HAS 1 ¼” PIPE STEM WHERE THE CHAIR SECTION WILL SIT ON BASE.

2) THE ARTICULATING BASE TOP (ON BOTH SINGLE AND DOUBLE) IS FLUSH WITH THE FITTING OF BASE WHERE THE CHAIR SECTION WILL SLIP INTO THE BASE.

To put simply, the regular chair sits on the base, and the articulating slips into the base. **THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS THAT NO MORE THAN 2 - 9" BASES BE USED ON A CHAIR.**
