The Comfyprene Cock Up Hand Orthosis is covered in soft neoprene and can be fit to suit the needs of the patient without using tools or heat. Metal inserts allow for easy readjustment, while the straps may be positioned anywhere on the splint, as needed. Clean it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap.
The Comfyprene Cock Up Hand Orthosis has the following features:
Graduated extension of the spastic clenched fingers and wrist
Corrects and controls radial or ulnar deviation
Controls wrist drop
Helps restrict arthritic changes and deformity related to neuromuscular impairment
Positions the flaccid hand and wrist
Maintains skin integrity by absorbing moisture, allowing air circulation and preventing skin maceration on palmer surface
Allows for increased hygiene care by allowing nail care and cleaning of palmer surface
Maintainance of functional position of the wrist and hand
Instead of removable terrycloth covers, the Comfyprene™ splint inserts are covered with soft neoprene and headliner material, which creates a slim profile for everyday comfort. Splints are adjustable and re-adjustable using the Comfy™ patented reinforced spine. Straps may be positioned anywhere on the splint for optimal fit. Excellent for use after sports injuries, removal of casts, sports medicine or for arthritic patient's support of the weakened extremity.
All Comfyprene™ Splints come standard with five attachable and removable hygiene liners. Unlike the traditional Comfy Splint, there are no removable covers on Comfyprene™ Splints.
