A special transition box is mounted on the foot section of the Delta Ultra-Light 1000 to allow for changing the rotation of the high/low shaft. This is the key to interchangeability.
The headboard of the Delta 1000 is taller than the footboard to better fit with home decor. The attractive wood grain panels are resistant to wear and tear. The high/low shaft stays with the bed once installed to prevent loss if the bed is moved elsewhere. Making installation even easier, the springs are labelled and color-coded for accuracy, making it even safer.
The self-contained motor reduces weight and noise for a quieter operation. The height-adjustable motor is pre-installed on the foot section and can be removed with patient in bed. Motor is UL approved. Backup battery can lower the head and foot section in the case of power failure.
To prevent excessive bending by the caregiver, the hand crank is located at the top of the footboard. Zinc-coated spring deck with 9 ½" to 23 ½" deck height. Extension kit available (model #15030EXTKIT) extends length from 80" to 84". Caster easily moves from standard to low bed position.
