The Jamar Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer is one of the most commonly used types of hand dynamometers and is considered to be one of the most reliable and accurate hydraulic dynamometers in the medical and rehabilitation industry.

The latex-free, 1 1/2-pound hand-held dynamometer is used to assess strength during a routine screening and to initially evaluate a client's possible hand trauma or dysfunction as well as helping a practitioner to determine how their client is responding to ongoing therapy and treatment.

The dynamometer offers a functional medical capacity for evaluation, muscle strength analysis and comparison, and rehabilitation planning when used to measure grip strength in cases where cervical nerve roots may be compromises or suspected of peripheral nerve damage.

The device features a dual-scale readout display and a peak-hold needle readout that automatically retains the highest isometric grip force reading ranging from 0 to 200-pounds until reset.

The dynamometer measures isometric force and peak strength with an ergonomic easily adjustable five-grip position handle with half-inch increments ranging from 1 3/8" to 3 3/8" to provide the client with the best grip strength testing opportunity.
