The Convaid EZ Rider Convertible Upright Wheelchair is for someone with limited upper body control, and some potential for self-propulsion. 10 Degrees Fixed Tilt - Crash-Tested Models Available.
Convaid refers to their special needs strollers as wheelchairs. The reason for this is that the strollers have many of the components of a wheelchair. They have swing-away removable foot rests, arm rests, and other options such as lateral supports. Many of the Convaid wheelchairs/strollers also have the transit option whereby circular brackets can be attached to the base of chair enabling the wheelchair/stroller to be tied down for transit in a bus or van. Additionally, the Convaid chair has the remarkable feature of being foldable; allowing the chair to be folded for easy transport/storage.
10 Degrees Fixed Tilt.
The versatile Convertible comes with 8" rear wheels plus larger rear wheels that snap on for self-propulsion. It's like getting two chairs for the price of one. Snap off the large wheels when traveling in planes or automobiles or when negotiating tight spaces. It's lightweight and easy to fold, and can be fitted with a variety of positioning options. Its patented design provides maximum comfort and durability.
