  • Rodeo WC/19 Information

  • The Convaid Rodeo tilt-in-space Positioning Wheelchair offers 10-45 degrees of adjustable tilt and 90-105 degrees of adjustable seat-to-back angle. For Medical Billing Purposes, HCPCS: E1232

Convaid refers to their special needs strollers as wheelchairs. The reason for this is that the strollers have many of the components of a wheelchair. They have swing-away removable foot rests, arm rests, and other options such as lateral supports. Many of the Convaid wheelchairs/strollers also have the transit option whereby circular brackets can be attached to the base of chair enabling the wheelchair/stroller to be tied down for transit in a bus or van. Additionally, the Convaid chair has the remarkable feature of being foldable; allowing the chair to be folded for easy transport/storage.

Key features include extensive positioning options; a height-adjustable push handle; height-adjustable armrests; firm lateral supports; removable, machine-washable fabric with side panels; and an optional storage tray located under the seat for storing medical necessities and auxiliary equipment, such as a ventilator. It's lighter than the Safari, just as compact-folding, and folds with all positioning options in place. Its patented design provides maximum comfort and durability.

Available in two models: Basic, with all the features listed above, and a crash-tested Transit model, designed for use aboard a bus or van.
