The Vee belt is made from our striped acrylic fabric. It was designed to assist Alzheimer's disease and related dementia diagnosed people to receive the necessary cueing to remind them to keep walking forward in the Merry Walker Ambulation Device. It was discovered that Alzheimer's disease and related dementia people were twisting around in the walking space of the Merry Walker or ducking underneath the standard safety strap. They needed a special safety strap designed to meet their needs that would be more secure for them while also available to cue them to keep walking forward and not twist around. Thus, the Merry Walker Vee Belt was created to address those needs. |
