The RCAI Pediatric Tibial Fracture Brace has a standard shoe insert, tibial plate, laminate liner, strapping a premolded posterior stay and a removable static screw for free ROM.
The TFB is indicated for Achilles tear, stable mid staff to distal tibial fractures, ankle fractures, sprains and ligament damage. It transmits patient load from brace to the ground, offloading pressure from the fracture site.
It allows for normal plantar and dorsiflexion. It can be set in a static position. It limits inversion and eversion of the ankle and the adjustable straps provide quadrilateral support that allow for swelling. The precision length adjustment hinge arms provide a customized fit.
