The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat offers comfortable and proper positioning support. Made for use at home, in the car, on the bus, at school – virtually anywhere. The modular cushion seating surface allows for individualized adjustment and many years of growth. Seamless, latex-free cushions are impermeable to fluids and soft, yet durable. It withstands cracking and cleans easily with common disinfectants. Attachment straps can be used to attach the Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat to standard chairs found in the home, school, and community. Three systems are available. Multi-Positioning Seat, MPS Mobile Floor Kit, and MPS Push Chair Kit. Available in two colors: Two-Tone Blue and Two-Tone Plum.
The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning System – Use it Everywhere!
1. At home, the Special Tomato secures to most standard chairs by using the included attachment straps
2. In the car, use the crash-tested Special Tomato Seat with the LATCH & Tether system
3. At school, secure the Special Tomato in a classroom chair, or use the Special Tomato with the Mobile Base as your all-in-one classroom chair.
4. In the school bus, transport the Special Tomato in the Push Chair (B9288-44)
5. Throughout the community, use the Special Tomato in one of its many available configurations.
Special Tomato For the Car!
The Special Tomato is FMVS213 compliant - meets all requirements for car seats designed for children weighing up to 150 lbs. Simply use the included LATCH System to properly anchor the Special Tomato as a car seat for kids up to 50 lbs. If you vehicle does not have LATCH System or for children weighing from 50 lbs. to 150 lbs., a vehicle lap/shoulder belt must be used. The tether system must be installed at all times when using your Special Tomato MPS as a car seat. The Special Tomato is also designed for use with standard tie-down systems for bus or van transport and meets ANSI/RESNA WC/10 safety regulations.+
+All orders placed for the small sizes after October 1, 2003 will ship as car seats. All orders placed for the large sizes after December 1, 2003 will ship as car seats. Special tomato MPS seats purchased before these dates are not suitable for use as a car seat.
