Bauerfeind AG is a German health care equipment company that is one of the world’s largest orthopedic stocking and braces/support devices providers. They are an international company with subsidiaries in a number of countries, including France, Great Britain, Austria, Spain, Italy, and as Bauerfeind USA, Incorporated, located in Kennesaw, Georgia. The company was originally founded by Bruno Bauerfeind in Zeulenroda, Germany, as a manufacturer of medical rubber stockings. The founder’s son, Ruddolf, moved the company from the Zeulenroda in 1949 from East Germany to Kempen, West Germany. After the German reunification, the founder’s grandson, Hans, moved the company back to the Zeulenroda region and bought a compression bandage manufacturer company as well as building a new research center and headquarters.

The Bauerfeind USA site was founded in 1985 to help provide superior products to the US customers with their continued tradition of excellence and unrivaled commitment to quality and efficacy by incorporating state-of-the-art technologies with design ideas and product innovation.
