Kaye Products, Incorporated, designs, develops and manufactures positioning, mobility, and therapeutic equipment devices for children and adults of various abilities and needs.
Founded by Janet and Ed Howle in 1977 and with headquarters in Hillsborough, North Carolina, Janet, who is a Physical Therapist, at the time, expressed her concerns to Ed that the adaptive equipment available did not always meet the needs of her pediatric patients. Realizing that they both had the knowledge and skill to address this problem, they started to design their first corner chair and prone stander products, which they produced and shipped from their home workshop.
As the demand for their products increased, their business expanded and they decided to focus on mobility issues for handicapped individuals. Research and innovative design led to the invention of the popular Kaye Posture Control Walker. Now Kaye Products have grown and expanded their designs and manufacturing products for seating and standing, devices to enhance mobility, and therapeutic equipment for adults and children with a wide array of needs.
Some examples of the wide variety of products from Kaye Products include kinder chairs; bolster chairs, corner chairs, T-seats, benches, tilting tables, vertical standers, dynamic standers, and the Kaye Posture System. Other products include therapeutic equipment such as therapy bolsters and stands, nesting benches and steps, ball holders, and the Kaye Play Frame.
