Triaid, Incorporated, is an international company that manufactures special need tricycles and handcycles for children and adults.

Triaid is the US branch of Theraplay Ltd., with headquarters in Scotland and additional offices in Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Austria, Australia, Greece, Taiwan, and Israel, and the Triad US branch located in Cumberland, Maryland.

For over 20 years Triad/Theraplay have continuously designed and manufactured special needs equipment for children and adults of all ages featuring two basic product groups; special needs tricycles and handcycles to be used at home, school, at group gatherings, or for special expeditions.

Triad’s tricycles and handcycles have well-balanced handling features and a broad wheelbase that provides the rider a secure riding experience. Also highlighted is a large range of unique and specialized positional accessories that will accommodate even the most physically challenged user. Triad’s tricycles and handcycles offer features, both standard and optional, that are not found in other similar products on the market.

Some of these innovative features include a choice of three gearing levels for children of varying physical abilities, and most of the tricycles have a frame folding mechanism for easy transport, and a contour saddle seat for a more stable and comfortable riding position that also helps to keep the pelvis in position for more efficient pedaling.

All of the tricycles and handcycles are extensively tested for optimal performance and suitability, and Theraplay’s trikes are the only brand chosen for use by the UK National Health Service. All of their equipment carries the CE brand mark as a certificate of conformance to manufacturing procedures and for product function ability.
