Amanda Lundberg, BSN, RN

Amanda grew up in the Pacific Northwest and studied to become a nurse soon after she completed her first degree in cultural anthropology. Her first nursing job was in the Alaskan tundra caring for elders in a small, rural community. After spending a frigid winter up north, she moved to Bend, OR and began a supervisor role for a primary care clinic. Amanda had the opportunity to engage daily with patients discussing their goals for living a healthy lifestyle.

Her holistic approach to healthcare led her to learn about complementary therapies. Amanda took special interest in her patients on supplemental oxygen. She became educated on forms of oxygen delivery and enjoyed collaborating with patients to find the most appropriate units for their lifestyle.

After advancing her career to management for a cardiology and dermatology clinic, Amanda also took on the role of biological coordinator. She then became a specialist in light therapy, performing innovative treatments for all skin disorders.

Today, Amanda can be found writing from her home in Colorado. After having two young children, she left her more traditional nursing career to pursue another passion: writing. She founded Locksley Content, a freelance content marketing and copywriting company for health and wellness brands. Using her nursing background, she translates complicated medical language into easily digestible content for the general public.

In addition to running her company, Amanda enjoys traveling, sushi, and spending time with her family exploring the nearby mountains.
