Roll-A-Ramp: Easily Transportable, Exceptionally Strong

“Making the world more accessible, one ramp at the time” does not happen by accident.

For more than fourteen years, Roll-A-Ramp has specifically sought solutions for the accessibility challenges people who are disabled and use wheelchairs as a primary mode of transportation frequently encounter.

Serving the needs of people with disabilities in their community

Tim Capouch is the general manager at Roll-A-Ramp, and said he has been there “from day one.” Capouch works closely with Matt Magness, owner and president of Roll-A-Ramp.

The company philosophy is quite simple, Capouch said: “Serve the needs of disabled people in our communities.”

Customer service at Roll-A-Ramp is imperative; Capouch mentioned the company is expanding, and he attributes that growth to “word-of-mouth, from both our distributors and our customers.”

Currently, Roll-A-Ramps are sold in more than 35 countries around the world.

Products and services with a social conscience

Roll-A-Ramps, Capouch expressed proudly, are made in the USA - West Fargo, North Dakota, to be exact. But even with their fully American roots, these amazing ramps literally circle the globe.

  • Queen Elizabeth II purchased a series of ramps for Buckingham Palace to aid athletes participating in the Paralympic Games
  • Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have employed Roll-A-Ramps to allow wheelchair access to Capitol Hill on the east end of the National Mall in Washington D.C.
  • World-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking gained access to the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem via Roll-A-Ramp, during one of his most eloquent oratories regarding his career as a scientist
  • The United Kingdom’s Supreme Court, the Royal Court of Justice, uses this fine ramp at the entrances to its chambers
  • The Israeli Rail System, Wimbledon, BBC, and Disneyland have all installed Roll-A-Ramps for customers who travel via wheelchair

Fame and celebrity aside, Capouch insists it's the everyday person struggling to get from point A to point B who motivates him.  “I don’t think most people realize the challenges people in wheelchairs face. People in wheelchairs are the people that I come to work for, every day.”

How is Roll-A-Ramp different from other wheelchair ramps?

Materials

Roll-A-Ramps are manufactured using 6061-T6 aluminum – the exact same material as U.S. military jets! The aluminum is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness factor of T6, then anodized to prevent rust and corrosion.

In simple English: Roll-A-Ramps are the most durable wheelchair ramps available.

Roll-A-Ramps are so well made, and so tough, that Roll-A-Ramp offers a 10-year warranty to all customers, and a lifetime warranty for Veterans of the United States Armed Forces!

Versatility

Unlike any other ramp on the market, Roll-A-Ramps are customizable to the inch. Due to their unique, patented, link construction design, this equipment is easily configured to meet each user's exact needs.

The ramp weighs approximately four to six pounds per foot, and can be rolled up and moved from house to house, or from the front door to the back door.

In this way, a home or business entry ramp can be redesigned in minutes to accommodate the diverse needs of multiple users.

Easily transportable, exceptionally strong

This equipment rolls up like a sleeping bag and is quite light, while having an immense weight-to-capacity ratio: an eight-foot ramp weighs around 41 pounds, but it will support 1,000 pounds!

Semi-fixed home or commercial entry Roll-A-Ramps are effortlessly convertible, and can function as a portable van/vehicle mounted ramp. In a single day, this equipment can go from home, to the office, to the grocery store, to visit friends, and back home again – quickly and easily.

Who could benefit from a Roll-A-Ramp?

Quite literally, any person who uses a wheelchair or a scooter as their primary mode of transportation needs a Roll-A-Ramp!

These ramps have been certified and purchased by the US Navy and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs as an efficient, easy-to-use solution onboard ships and at facilities which serve veterans.
