Aquaplast Watercolors Splinting Material - Solid

The Aquaplast Watercolors Splinting Material is pre-molded, solid thermoplastic splinting material that is used to provide fast immobilization, protection, and support of a sprain, strain, or simple fracture.

Constructed with solid thermoplastic material, the pre-molded shape can be fitted onto the user for a size match, then the splint can be heated and made pliable in warm water, and placed onto the injured area. Once in place, the medical professional molds and shapes it for a comfortable, customized fit, and the edges easily trimmed to make a perfect fit.

The 100% memory of the splint construction will allow it to be taken off and reshaped to fit the healing injury. Unlike plaster casts, splints are simple to remove to give the user the chance to exercise the injury or to bathe. Additionally, since a splint doesn't generally cover the injured area, a splint may require staples or elastic to secure it to the site.

The splints come in a variety of color choices to match the user's personality, making it an even more customized splint that the user would be proud to wear. The splint has resistant stretch meaning that it will continue to provide strength, stability, and protection. The material also has a non-stick coating on its surface that allows shaping without unwanted bonding. To perform a temporary bond, simply pinch the heated material together. For permanent bonding, remove the coating by scraping it off with sandpaper or a sharp object, or by using liquid remover.

These pre-molded, thermoplastic splints are ideal to use as serial splints that need to be revised as swelling recedes during the healing process, and can be worn while bathing. The material comes in different choices of widths, and either as a single or in a package of four.
