Standard Features
Champion 56 Series Bariatric Recliners come standard with one fold-away side table and 5-inch thermoplastic ball-bearing casters with front brakes and rear steering. A self-storing footrest prevents patients' feet from dangling during transport, and a push handle is included for caregivers' convenience. The quick-release seat allows for easy replace, maintenance, and cleaning. Both manual and power recline chairs can be reclined or raised with the only minimal effort from the sitter. A "wall-hugger" feature lets Champion 56 Series Bariatric Recliners be fully reclined, even in small spaces.
Trendelenburg Positioning
The Trendelenburg feature works in emergency situations to lay the back of the chair flat. This helps to increase blood flow to the head.
Optional Customizations
Breakaway arms are available on one or both sides, to make patient transfers and chair cleaning easier. This option is recommended for chairs that will be in smaller spaces. If this option is selected, a second side table cannot be purchased. Fully adjustable heat and massage options can be added to all Champion 56 Series Bariatric Recliners, or the heat option only can be installed in a manual chair. The available premium 5-inch caster option has a different arrangement of bearings, which make it easier to roll across carpet or other soft surfaces.
