The Orfit Colors NS Splinting Material is designed with thermoplastic material that allows it to be easily molded by localized heating with a heat gun or a hot water pan for a custom fit to the patient.
The Thermoplastic material has extraordinary resistance to tearing, highlights a minimum-moderate stretch resistance with slight flexibility for the patient's comfort, and the colors, Atomic Blue and Sonic Silver, are completely colorfast and won't fade. The Belgium-made splint material is latex-free, and the fun metallic colors are kid-friendly to offer that unique look that kids will enjoy.
The thermoplastic material is very durable and can easily be precision molded into stabilization orthoses and braces, and is ideal for customized molding of splints for the partial or total immobilization of arms, legs, hands, fingers, or pediatric uses. The material has a non-stick coating that allows it to be pinched together while it is warm for a temporary bond, or a more permanent bond can be achieved by scraping away the non-stick coating first before heating the material.
The splinting material is available in a single sheet or as a package of four, in different sized sheets, and with or without perforations.
