The PM-725 EMS Digital transmits electronic pulses that cause passive exercise in the muscles. This loosens muscle fibers, increases blood flow, and stimulates muscle growth. Compared to a TENS machine, EMS neuromuscular stimulation treats more of the muscle area than the nerves. The unit can be used to reduce pain, spasms, and swelling, while promoting healing and strengthening injured muscles. The PM-725 EMS Digital uses dual isolated channels to deliver the wave signal efficiently.

More Information

Promed's PM-725 EMS Digital stimulates the muscles and provides pain relief. The unit features an LCD display and an adjustable timer, with 5 minutes each step and constant. It also has a cumulative compliance timer. The PM-725 EMS Digital includes the stimulator unit, lead wires, a 9V battery, 4 self-adhesive reusable electrodes, an instruction booklet, and a hard carrying case. There is a 9V AC adapter and a rechargeable battery kit available.

There are three modes of stimulation, Synchronous (S), Constant (C), and Alternate (A). The Synchronous mode uses the output from both channels that occurs synchronously. The "On" time in this mode includes "Ramp Up" and "Ramp Down" time, therefore, the setting of On time should be no less than two times of the "Ramp" time in this mode. The Constant Mode features an adjustable pulse rate and pulse width. In the Alternate mode, the stimulation of the CH2 will occur after the first contraction of CH1 is completed. In this mode, the setting of ON Time should be no less than two times of the "Ramp" time. The OFF Time should be equal to or greater than the ON Time. On-Time is greater than or equal to Ramp Up + Ramp Down Off Time is greater than or equal to On Time.

Requires a prescription.

My therapist says the PM-720 EMS unit would be good for me. I was wondering what you think and if there is anything better out there for my application? I suffered a spinal cord injury 2 years ago and still can't really move or feel my feet much (drop foot). It has been constantly progressing very slowly...I can kind of move my left foot up and my right foot down. Your expertise would be appreciated.
Answer: If your therapist has recommended a product for treatment, it is in your best medical interest to follow that recommendation. Rehabmart employees are not trained medical professionals and cannot advise you to select a different product than recommended by a licensed therapist.

I had a stroke last year and this is the best Stim unit I've found for the money. Lots of configuration options that I can use for both my leg and arm. OT's at rehab have said they will recommend this model for home use.

I had to purchase this for therapy for bells palsy. Although it is not the same as the one I used in physical therapy, it works. I wished it came with smaller pads for the face.

Was shown how to get the most out of the unit during my occupational therapy and physical therapy. Have been using the EMS unit daily and find it works great for strengthening and moving muscles in my arm and leg. Have already recommended the EMS unit to another patient in occupational therapy. We were told about this EMS unit from my occupational therapist.
