The Bolero Height-Adjustable Bath and Shower Stretcher is designed to make transferring patients from their bed to the bath and back again safe and convenient for both patient and caregiver. The low, wide chassis slips easily under most bed frames, and in conjunction with the height-adjustability, this allows the stretcher to be positioned as close to the patient as possible. Optional side rails are available that can be affixed to one or both sides of the stretcher to both ensure the patient remains safely seated and provide the patient with a comfortable, reassuring handhold when moving; the rails fold down conveniently to ensure transfers are caregiver access are unobstructed.
The raising, lowering, and reclining features are all battery powered, eliminating the need for heavy manual lifting from caregivers. Two batteries are included with the Bolero, as well as a quick charging station, ensuring that the chair is always ready to go when needed. Caregivers control all the features via a handheld remote with a long, flexible cord that allows them to keep control at their fingertips while remaining close to the patient at all times. This serves to both reassure the patient with proximity and ensure caregivers can act quickly in case of an emergency.
Two curved handles with comfort grip pads allow caregivers to finely control the movement of and precisely position the stretcher. Two long handle bars extend over the stretcher that independently swing back out of the way, giving patients something reassuring to grasp when moving and a support to aid in raising or lowering themselves during the bathing process that won't hinder transitions in and out of the chair.
The stretcher itself is made of a slick, easy-to-clean material that is both seamless and entirely waterproof. Strategically placed hols prevent water from pooling uncomfortably around the patient; an ergonomically-round head cushion adds to patient comfort and support. An optional integrated scale allows caregivers to easily weight patients without needing to transfer them to a separate weighing device, and the stretcher is available in a pediatric size to cater to children.
