Medline™s AirOne Alternating Pressure Mattress Pads provide users with a method for alternating pressure therapy. Alternating pressure therapy is ideal for users who wish to prevent, treat, or manage pressure ulcers. Pressure ulcers are commonly known as bed sores by the general population. This form of therapy uses pressure redistribution in order to stimulate blood flow, which results in the nourishment of the skin for increased healing. The pads are capable of doing so with the individual air pockets that redistribute air by inflating and deflating the air pockets within the pad with air in a predetermined cycle time. This particular Alternating Pressure Mattress Pad is equipped with 20 air bladders and nine laser holes. These are incorporated in the design of the pad in order to achieve the air loss function, which will provide users with supreme comfort.
It is recommended that the pad be installed underneath your sheets. The pad itself is made of embossed vinyl that is anti-slip, which is great for keeping the pad in place. The vinyl construction of the pad is also water-resistant and machine washable. Medline has included six feet of tubing which is already connected for a quick setup process. Once you™ve connected the pump the light will notify you whether the inflation mechanism is on or off. The pads will then inflate quickly without much noise at all.
