PressureGuard® APM Bariatric Mattresses feature a low pressure indicator and audible alarm for the treatment of pressure ulcers with alternating pressure for users up to 750 pounds. The simple operation and gentle, effective pressure changes are optimal for caregivers and patients. Firmness is customizable as well as time settings. Top cover is anti-shear bacteriostatic fabric which is fire resistant, fluidproof, tear resistant and easy to clean or replace. Hammocking is minimized due to the pleated design.
The exclusive Geo-Matt® style foam topper is a high density, medical grade foam. The unique geometric design consists of individual cells acting individually to redistribute pressure, to reduce heat and moisture buildup on the skin, and to reduce shear to underlying tissues. This two inch foam topper is and includes the unique Heel Slope (tm) feature, designed to further reduce pressure for the sensitive heel area. The patented Safety Edge (tm) Bolsters consists of a firm 2-part foam bolster whose inner edge contours under pressure to direct the patient towards the center of the mattress. This adds to patient stability in sitting and lying down, and helps prevent falls and entrapment between the siderail and the mattress.
