The Quick Wrap Knee Immobilizer is designed to temporarily stabilize, protect, and immobilize the user's leg and knee by locking the leg in extension to prevent the knee from any movement and weight-bearing activity. This immobilizer is often used after an acute injury to the knee, such as a leg fracture, and leg ligament or tendon ruptures.
The durable nylon material of the immobilizer has an open-cell foam lining for comfort of wear against the user's skin. The immobilizer has three anatomically contoured, as well as straight aluminum posterior stays with a fortified "I" center beam to provide a sturdy and rigid leg immobilizer. The straight stays can be used for increased immobilization when using crutches or a walker.
Included are two detachable aluminum lateral and medial stays to help provide an optimal fit, and stretchy elastic straps with Velcro-like closures that offer gentle compression and easy adjustments.
The wrap can be custom sized by trimming it with scissors and with a universal fit, it will fit either the left or right legs equally well.
