Morgan Hopkins, DPT, CMTPT

Morgan Hopkins is a doctor of physical therapy and freelance health writer. After 8 years of practicing in outpatient orthopedics, she transitioned to medical writing while raising her young daughter. While her heart remains in the clinic, she feels extremely lucky to be able to share her clinical experience and knowledge through writing.

Morgan’s passion for rehabilitation began at a young age while watching her brother recover from a traumatic brain injury. Observing the compassionate care provided by his team of therapists, alongside personal experiences with ballet-related injuries, Morgan was inspired to seek a career in the rehabilitation field.

Professionally, Morgan has developed prehab programs for total joint patients, spearheaded dry needling programming, and has been the lead therapist for specialized shoulder replacement procedures.

In her free time, Morgan enjoys skiing, traveling, and exercising. For more information including wellness tips and injury prevention, check out her website Physioessentials.
