There is nothing that keeps your arms comfortable while using the device. Rubbing the underside of the arms on the mesh is very irritating. I came up with a solution. Put water noodles over the plastic pipe area on the space where the arms go. I have a photo if you want. It is very useful now and no chafing of the arms

    Amazing Product
We purchased the pool flotation aid for my daughter who has CP/Brain injury. She walks with a gait trainer in the home and on land. She has low tone in her legs, so I was looking for a device that could help her improve mobility in the pool, but also a device that would help with pool exercise, pool aerobics, and just general walking mobility for the pool, since she does not swim. So, this device does a great job of providing her with greater water safety. Of course, she still requires supervision at all times when in the water, but she is perfectly safe, stable, and upright while in the flotation aid device. I feel she is using the device as a bit of a "crutch," by not working hard enough to stand upright, but to just hang onto or lean over the flotation aid at times and chill. So, I know that pools and summertime are a time to chill and relax, but I also want her to spend some designated time walking in the pool, exercising, moving, doing pool aerobics, playing water games, etc. During these times, Jamey is not actively trying to keep her feet on the floor of the pool (she stays in the shallow end of the pool in about 3 to 4 feet of water) and she bend her knees a bit. Our therapist recommended that we try ankle weights, as this may assist Jamey with keeping her feet in contact with the pool surface. So, we are going to try this, along with some gentle motivational strategies during our pool games and exercise times. I will do my best to remember to report back on how the ankle weights are working out.
