Product Overview:

Southpaw's Bounce Path Track Balance System provides a fun way for children to improve balance, coordination, and strength. Available in a Short Straight, Long Straight, Offset S, and a Corner Path, the wooden bounce path track pieces include vinyl-covered springs on the bottom of each path that prevent fingers from becoming pinched. The tops are covered in a textured, non-skid finish that prevents clients from slipping during use. For floor matting under the Balance Paths, optional carpets that provide extra tactile input to bare feet are available. Choose the carpet version that coordinates with each Bounce Path version.

More Information

Southpaw's Bounce Path Track Balance System can be used at schools, homes, and occupational and physical therapy practices to help clients learn to maintain a controlled body position while moving or standing still on an unsteady surface. The tracks with springs on the bottom make an unsteady surface that causes the client to respond with postural corrections necessary for maintaining balance. This response also includes responses of extremities as well when trying to maintain balance. For instance, the arms can be used to provide weight balance and prevent falls. This ability to balance on all different types of surfaces helps prepare clients for participation in sports and daily activities. The Bounce Path Track Balance System also provides the building blocks for developing fine motor skills.
