More Information

How the Bed-Check Classic-Check Works
After placing the patient on the Sensormat Chair or Bed Pad and pressing Reset, the Bed-Check Classic-Check immediately begins monitoring. If weight is detected on the Sensormat Pad, monitoring begins within 5 seconds if Reset is not pressed by the caregiver. There is no ON/OFF Switch, which saves a step when setting up or turning off the monitor. This ensures that the monitor is always turned on when needed.

When the Sensormat senses movement, an alarm will sound, alerting caregivers that the patient is at risk of falling. Once the patient's weight is placed back on the Sensormat Pad, the monitor will automatically restart, even if the monitor is in Hold mode. If the Bed-Check Classic-Check has been placed in Hold mode, monitoring will automatically restart within 25 seconds of being placed on the Sensormat pad.

Alarm Settings
The Bed-Check Classic-Check includes 10 different programmable alarm tones. Alarm delays can set up to sound after 1, 2, or 3 seconds from when the patient removes weight from the sensor pad. There is also a choice of 4 tones and 6 tunes available.

Modes
￿ Hold Mode: This mode allows for staff-assisted transfers to take place without the alarm sounding. Monitoring will automatically resume within 25 seconds when the patient is on the Sensormat in this mode.
￿ Day and Night Modes: This mode changes the monitor light and alarm tones according to the time of day. If placed in "Nite" mode, the alarm monitor splash shield illuminates with a soft blue glowing light and the alarm tone setting adjusts to a pre-set Nite level. This feature ensures that residents will not be disturbed while sleeping. The Day/Night Mode feature includes a 1-touch control with adjustable volume settings.

Nurse Call System Compatibility
The Bed-Check Classic-Check is compatible with normally open or normally closed nurse call systems using a 1/4" diameter phone plug.

Alarm Sounds
The Bed-Check Classic-Check Fall Monitor System includes programmable alarm tones and adjustable volume settings. For Nite Mode, the tone can be set ahead of time so if the alarm sounds it will not cause a disturbance. Whenever weight has lifted off of the Sensormat, an audible alarm will sound, which indicates that the patient is at risk of falling.

LED Indicator Lights
Caregivers can visually see what mode the unit is in and whether there is a 1, 2, or 3-second delay by looking at the LED indicator lights.

Power
The Bed-Check plugs into a standard wall outlet, using 110 V of AC power. Once power enters the Bed-Check Classic-Check case, power is converted to 12VDC. A 10-foot power cord is integrated into the unit.

Mounting Options
Choose from a wide variety of mounting options. The unit can be mounted on the bed headboard or frame, headwall, the back of a chair with a standard Velcro strap or an optional wire holster. When mounted, the Bed-Check Classic-Check unit should be positioned so that it is out of the resident's reach.

Sensormat Pads
The Bed-Check Classic-Check is compatible with Sensormat pads, which are available for both beds and chairs. These fall safety sensor pads feature a narrow, pressure-sensitive surface that indicates if there is movement with an audible alarm.
