More Information

For the ease and convenience of the wearer, the entire clear face guard can pivot up or down allowing the user to optionally dine or receive care without removing the helmet.

Our strong polyethylene shell is riveted to the liner while the clear face guard is attached to that shell. The clear Lexan polycarbonate face guard has an eye level opening (1 inch by 6 inch) for unobstructed vision. The mouth opening (1 inch by 3 3/4 inches) allows for maximum ventilation through it. The Danmar Hard Shell Helmet with Face Guard has an average weight of only 25-ounces.

The bottom edge of the face guard is lined with a touch of soft foam for added comfort. The easily adjustable chin strap with snap closure is also included.

Face Guard Modifications
Basic face guard may be ordered without standard mouth and eye openings. As an example, ventilation holes could be used in place of the standard openings when the objective is to keep items out of the mouth or eye area. If ventilation holes are used in the eye area it should be noted that vision will be obstructed.

Stabilizing Side Tabs
Face guard is securely held in position by these attachments on each side of the helmet. Choose either permanent mount or pivot mount. The face guard remains positioned over the face and cannot be pivoted to the top of helmet if Permanent Mount is chosen. The Pivot Mount utilizes the quick release buckles to unsnap the face guard from the helmet enabling it to be pivoted up over the top of the shell.

Extra Long Face Guard Modification
A full one inch longer than the standard Face Guard, this modification also has larger eye and mouth openings too. Ther is an eye level opening of 7 in. x 2 in. for unobstructed vision and a mouth opening of 4.5 x 1.5 inches for maximum ventilation. This can be combined with 3461.

Rear Hard Shell Extension
In order to provide additional coverage at the back of the head, the polyethylene shell may be extended to cover the lower foam at the back of the helmet. Standard length of this attachment is three inches.

Foam Reinforcement
Reinforced vinyl material is bonded to our full helmet liner to prolong the life of the helmet. This strong material is especially good in situations when the helmet could be receiving particularly hard use.

Helmet Custom Strapping System
Ideal for those situations where there are attempts to remove the helmet at inappropriate times. Straps are attached to the bottom of the face guard and then cross comfortably under the chin, attaching to the back of the helmet with quick release buckles.

Reinforced Seams
Reinforced vinyl material is bonded into our foam liner seams, giving extra strength in these areas for situations where they receive exceptional stress.

Since proper fit is important for the comfort of the person wearing headgear, measurements should be determined by professional personnel.

Measure the head circumference (A) at eyebrow level. Occipital measurement (B) is taken from eyebrow level to the back of the head at the point that the helmet is to end. Over the top of the Head (C) to top of ears.

If for some reason the measurements do not fall within the above guidelines, or if there are other considerations to be taken into account, please contact Rehabmart Quotes, quotes@rehabmart.com, with your measurements to receive a Custom Helmet quote. When contacting, please include measurements above and measurement "D" which is taken from the eyebrows to the bottom of the chin. Measurement "E" is taken from the eyebrows to the top of the head, at eyebrow level following the contour of the head, to the point where it intersects with the ear-to-ear measurement. For ear coverings "F":": Height of ears, "G": Width of ears, "H": Extension (distance that the ears extend from the head). See below for chart.

Totally unsuitable for my condition. Too heavy, rotates forward threatening my nose, presses on temples causing even more dizziness that I was already suffering.

Very nice product. Fit is a little lose; trying to figure out how to fit it better but otherwise great quality and worth the money.

This helmet is not the correct measurement, nor is it the correct face shield. I have order through your company before. I feel this particular face shield is not even made properly, it is defective, but with that being said, I cannot return it because I have a face shield. Therefore I monitored it. So, my special order was non-returnable. This is why I rated low!

I love the helmet. The strap system kept it from being a five star review as my son can get it off his head.
