The Seca 284 Directprint Wireless Height and Weight Measuring Station is designed to make every patient visit more convenient and efficient for everyone involved. It can connect wirelessly to any EMR-ready device, as well as the EMR system on your PC; this feature can be used to print the patient's measurements, update the patient's digital records, and more, all at the touch of a button. Two digital displays are integrated into the station; one reads out the currently measured height from the headpiece while the other, a touch display, shows a three-line, multi-function report of the patient's height, weight, and automatically-calculated BMI.
The wide base and anti-tip column design of the station ensures the entire device is stable throughout the entire measuring process without requiring wall mounting. To ensure the patient is similarly stable, their stand platform is made of slip-resistant, durable glass. The integrated scale has a high capacity of 660 pounds, accommodating a majority of patients; the fine 0.1-pound graduation ensures physicians can detect even the slightest change in the patient's weight but is also available in a kilogram only option. With a height measurement range of 11 to 87 inches, the scale can be used for both adults and children as well as a variation that ranges from 11 to 79 inches. A heel positioner and Frankfurt line on the headpiece help the patient find and maintain the proper position to ensure the most accurate results at all times.
