The Sensory Cocoon has been created for those with special needs. People with sensory processing disorders (SPD) disproportionately process sensory information than most in the same environment. Sensory integration therapy is used to expose people with SPD to stimulants in a controlled environment to help them process their responses at their own pace. The Sensory Cocoon uses sensory integration therapy by interacting with users through visual, auditory, and tactile experiences with its combination of the Sensory Corner Shower and Experia's Sensory Bubble Tube. The Sensory Cocoon engages the users visual senses with its vivid lights, tactual senses with its vibrations of the bubble tube and the strands of fiber optics, and auditory senses through the sound of the bubbles surfacing in the tube.

The Cocoon allows children to pass through the LED fiber optic curtain of lights onto a platform where they are greeted by a bubble tube. Experians bubble tubes have gained popularity in their ability to de-escalate people as they watch the bubbles slowly rise and the colors transition. Users can interact with the fiber optic lights and bubble tube or simply relax while watching the bubble tube.
