These Level 3 Isolation Gowns should be used in moderate-risk situations. The gowns help protect users from the spread of infection if the user comes in contact with infectious liquid. They do so by enforcing a barrier that blocks moderate amounts of fluid penetration. These gowns should be used in addition to gloves and face masks to prevent the contraction of transmissible diseases.

To determine what level of protection the gowns provide two tests are conducted to determine it's characteristics:

Water impacting the surface of the gown material

Pressurizing the material
