Hook and loop fasteners have long been utilized for the ability to make multiple adjustments to the placement of the loop surface along the hook surface. Commonly referred to as Velcro, hook and loop fasteners allow garments and donned items such as orthoses or compression wraps to be closed around an area of the body to for a close customized fit every time. Hook and loop fasteners also allow the hold to be released easily for removing items or accommodating additional bandages or swelling.

As pictured above, these straps are an excellent tool to use in conjunction with foot orthoses to provide a secure fit of the orthosis to the lower leg.
