The Norco Ankle Contracture Boot is the perfect support for pressure-free adjustable positioning while helping prevent foot drop and pressure sores. This boot provides slight dorsiflexion to neutral positioning while supporting and positioning the ankle joint while keeping the heel totally suspended for maximum air flow and easy access for wound care needs.

This boot features a removable rubber sole piece that helps prevent slipping during transfers, ensuring a secure grip for better stability. The height adjustable foot plate accommodates various foot lengths while keeping blankets from pressing down on the toes. It also includes a swing out anti-rotation bar that features locking slots to prevent foot and hip rotation. This boot comes equipped with a soft liner that surrounds the foot in comfort with velcro straps that secure the liner to the hard plastic, semi-flexible shell.

This boot is available in two sizes for greater user accommodation, fitting either the right or left foot. To size, measure length of foot from bottom of heel to top of big toe. Standard/Large boot fits foot length up to 10" (25cm), X-Large boot fits foot length from 10" to 13" (25 to 33cm).

Is the boot material washable?

Answer: According to the manufacturer, yes! To launder the interior lining of the contracture boot, you'll need to first remove it from the orthosis shell. Once you do this, you can hand-wash it with warm water and a mild detergent, then allow it to air dry. Please note that washing this liner in a traditional washing machine or dryer may result in irreparable damage to the lining material.
