The Norco Lateral PIP Hinge Splint is designed to rehabilitate injuries to the PIP joint while still allowing active PIP joint flexion and extension. The splint is designed to provide support for PIP injuries due to sprains, strains, partial collateral ligament tears, or for post-operative conditions.

The splint comes in two pieces each with straps to allow a more personalized fit for the user. The splint is also available in multiple sizes to provide a wider range of customized fits for users. The sizes of the splint are based on the crease between the MP to the DIP ranging from less than 4.1 cm up to 6 cm.

Designed to provide the most comfort the Norco Lateral PIP Hinge Splint uses two wraparound finger pieces that are firm, but made of a moldable, metal frame. The splint is padded to provide comfort over long periods of use. It uses hook and loop straps to allow a controlled range of motion within the joint while still allowing it to heal properly.

Aligning the hinge to the axis of the PIP joint creates the proper positioning for the split. The split also has an option to create dynamic flexion if desired. The splint supports rubber band tension volarly between the two finger supports which will create dynamic flexion in the joint.
