Protekt Aire 3000 Alternating Pressure Low Air Loss Mattress System

The Protekt (tm) Aire 3000 uses two methods to prevent and treat pressure ulcers from stages I to IV. The alternating pressure method pumps air into alternating air bladders, keeping pressure from building up for too long on any one point on the body. Low air loss allows small amounts of air to escape from the surface of the mattress overlay, cooling and drying the patient's skin to prevent moisture and heat buildup, two of the causes for pressure ulcers. The low friction, low shear material of the overlay addresses the remaining causes of pressure ulcers, friction and shearing, successfully eliminating all of the causes.

The mattress overlay has 16 air holes to allow air circulation around the patient's skin. A CPR valve allows the mattress to be quickly deflated when needed. The removable vinyl mattress cover is water resistant, non-shear, and anti-microbial, keeping the patient's skin safe, dry, and clean. The quilted cover construction and the deep air bladder submersion make the Protekt (tm) Aire 3000 mattress more comfortable. The mattress's non-skid bottom keeps it from sliding around when the patient moves.

The Protekt (tm) Aire 3000's air pump is both powerful and quiet, allowing both alternating pressure and low air loss therapies to be turned on with one button. A dial on the pump allows control over the air flow for customized pressure and increased comfort. The air bladders are filled and deflated in intervals of ten minutes. A low pressure alarm allows caregivers to be alerted if the pressure in the air bladders gets too low. The pump is attached to the mattress with kink free tubing and plugs in with a UL approved power cord. Included hanging brackets that allow the pump to be securely attached to the bed for easy accessibility.
