Transfer Boards allow patients to be more easily transferred from a chair, bed, commode, or car. These tapered hardwood boards are useful for helping those with lower extremity disabilities to move from one place to another. They are available in plastic or hardwood; the plastic board is only available in a solid model, while the hardwood boards are available in either solid board models or models with convenient hand-grip holes. They are lightweight and easy to wipe down for hygiene.

These Transfer Boards ensure easy patient transfers from a wheelchair to a car seat, commode, bed or bath. These boards are 1" thick in the middle, and taper to less than 1/4" at the ends. The ends of the boards are tapered to prevent the patient from having to lift themselves onto the board. The tapered ends allow the patient to simply glide onto and off of the board. The plastic model is a solid board design, while the hardwood models are available in versions either with or without a cut-out handle, which makes them easier to carry. A permanent coating adds durability even through heavy use over time. The boards are lightweight and easy to clean.

This gets the job done. I would like it better if it had a finish on it. But it is sturdy and very helpful for getting in and out of the car.
