The Tri-Panel Knee Immobilizer - Universal is designed to treat knee sprains and strains, as well as ACL, LCL, MCL, and PCL injuries. Its also appropriate for other mild to severe knee injuries such as patellar dislocations and osteochondral fractures by helping to immobilize, stabilize, and protect the knee from further damage.
The knee immobilizer is constructed with a three-panel design to provide a comfortable and precise fit via two adjustable medial and lateral panels with aluminum stays, and three rigid, lightweight, anatomically-contoured posterior aluminum stays with a fortified center beam. The loop-and-lock Velcro straps are simple to use when adjusting the immobilizer to a perfect, customized fit and level of compression. Included is a detachable, elastic 4 inch wide patella strap to help reduce the buildup of edema on the knee.
The exterior of the immobilizer is made of durable nylon wrapped around an open-cell foam core and lined with soft nylon tricot lining. The choice of sizes are between 12 ½ inches to 20 inches long, with a choice of either a regular or a wide width. The fit is universal for either the right or left leg.
