Bestcare Universal disposable slings are both cost effective and extremely helpful with time management. There is no longer a need to launder and maintain the sling, as it should be disposed after being soiled. Each sling should be assigned to an individual patient and this eliminates the need for sling sharing between patients which can lead to frustration over missing slings and loss of time needed for assisting your patients. Cross contamination will also no longer be an issue which can help control infection spreading among patients and caregivers. These slings are not designed to go through being laundered, and if the sling is washed and dried there is a tag on the sling that will change color to show that the sling can no longer be safely used as the integrity has been compromised.

These slings are disposable, but that does not mean they can only be used one time. Each sling is designed to be used until it shows signs of deterioration (no longer than a six month span) and then it must be properly disposed of. Each sling is made using non-woven material that does show signs of aging when it comes into contact with water, so it must not be laundered during its' lifespan. Spot cleaning may be necessary when using to help maintain cleanliness, and each sling does come with a tag attached to the sling that changes color if the sling has been exposed to washing and is no longer safe for patient use. Each Bestcare disposable sling is fully latex-free and has been tested at 1.5 times the safe working load. These slings range in size options from S to XXL, and have a weight capacity of up to 600 lbs. There is also an option for a sling with added head support if needed for patient care. The best fit for these slings is a 6 Point S-Bar, but the slings are also capable of fitting a 4 Point S-Bar and, additionally a 2 Point S-Bar. Each sling can be used for up to 6 months without being replaced, however, if the sling is laundered it must be replaced immediately due to the fact that the overall integrity of the sling was compromised by the laundering process.
