The Vaseline Sterile Petrolatum Gauze are sterile wound dressing gauze pads that are made with a white petrolatum woven into the fine, absorbent, mesh material of the gauze to ensure that it can clean and dress open wounds and ensure that no bacteria grow or enters an open wound to help protect and fight against potential infections.
These petrolatum gauzes are made to be 1 x 8 inches to allow for either a wide or long cover depending on the direction of the wound that the gauze is being used on. The laced in white petrolatum helps to cover the wound with a thick gel coating that keeps moisture from leaking into the wound by creating a shield from the petrolatum that blocks out any moisture as well as creating a layer that closes off the wound to make sure nothing can leak out of the wound either. The gauze is a good way to prepare the wound for additional dressing and can serve as a strong first layer due to the soft and flexible nature of the gauze that makes it able to cling to and conform to all contours of the body.
This petrolatum impregnated dressing remains moist-nontoxic, non-sensitizing, and non-irritating to ensure that anyone can use these gauzes without having to worry about any kind of allergic reaction or any other health problems arising due to the materials and components of the gauzes.
