Rehabmart.com Gives Back!

In this challenging economic environment, it is hard enough even for healthy individuals to get health care. Among those hit hardest by the current economy are those with major medical issues - special needs children, the elderly, disabled adults and veterans.

The founders of Rehabmart.com, Hulet Smith and Mike Price, decided the time was right to launch a new program beginning in January 2011 designed to help those in need to receive medical equipment they could not otherwise afford.

The new program, called "Rehabmart.com Gives Back", will offer medical products worth up to $1,000 each month to one or more individuals who submit a compelling story about how a piece of medical equipment from Rehabmart.com could improve their or their loved one's life.

As parents of special needs children, Hulet and Mike are keenly aware of the difficulty and expense of finding and purchasing medical equipment for their kids. As Occupational Therapists working with many different types of patients, they understand the difficulty and expense of caring for family members, from the youngest to the elderly.

Participation in the program is easy. Caregivers or patients simply write a few paragraphs about their background and about a particular piece of medical equipment they need to enhance their quality of life. After writing their story, they need to attach it to an email and send it to giveback@Rehabmart.com

The entries will be placed on the Rehabmart.com site and voted on by the public. At the end of the month the entry with the most votes will be rewarded the medical product that is needed by the person who had written the winning story.

All whose lives are touched by medical issues are encouraged to submit an entry. Parents of special needs children, teachers, therapists, caregivers, veterans, and disabled individuals are all encouraged to tell their story. For more information, go to https://www.rehabmart.com/givesback.
