Providing comfort and redistributing pressure to prevent pressure ulcers, the Gel-U Seat Wheelchair Cushion is the perfect choice for users who are looking for a comfortable and versatile seat cushion. The cushion is made of a non-toxic, viscous gel which gives comfort and support at the same time to the user. The gel is encased in a fire-retardant foam shell. Around that is a zippered stretch cover that is water resistant. The bottom of the cover is made of vinyl and is water-proof. The case also has two carrying handles attached for easy transport from one place to another. The handles can be purposed to secure the seat to the wheelchair as well.

The cushion is available in many different widths ranging from 16 to 26. The sizes up to 20 can firmly support up to 275 lb. while the 22 and greater cushions can support up to 500 lb.

It might be good as a wheelchair cushion but my husband was trying it for his chair - post surgery when he was having to sit a lot. Too big. Now to try to return it.

So far okay but its new. All work when new. Its seems to be firmer than other companies. Fits the seat well. Has good support. The price is good so I would recommend it.

Not at all what I was expecting from reading other reviews. We needed something that could be used in a regular chair to help prevent bed sores. I need to return it.
