In an increasingly data-driven world, the Lafayette Manual Muscle Tester (MMT) is a welcome addition to the clinician's repertoire. This ergonomic MMT features a large, easy-to-read digital screen that instantly displays the data gathered from any strength test. Clinicians can select whether to have their data measured in pounds, kilograms, or newtons. The MMT also measures peak force, time to reach peak force, total test time, time within selected ranges, and average force, and its on-board memory allows the storing of up to 150 tests. Included among its many software features is an automatic shutoff function following five minutes of inactivity, which extends the usability of the MMT's rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
