Product Overview:

Arjo's Sara Flex Patient Transfer Aid is built to give patients and caregivers the tools to simplify sit-to-stand transfers. Every design choice maximizes convenience: the electrically-powered nature of the device removes the requirement for caregivers to manually operate the machine, the wide (and also remote-controlled) chassis slides easily under most furniture to offer easy access to the patient, and the lightweight construction makes the device portable between different transfer locations. The Sara Flex is comfortable, too - silicone leg straps and supports keep patients safe and secure, and the ergonomic handle lets patients keep themselves stable during use.
This product is non-returnable.

More Information

The lightweight Sara Flex is an intuitive patient transfer aid designed to allow a single caregiver to facilitate sit-to-stand transfers for patients with limited mobility. The simple remote allows caregivers to raise and lower the patient with the push of a button and without any manual lifting; the remote control also operates the width-adjustable chassis to accommodate furniture like wheelchairs. A wide, curved crossbar serves as the handle for caregivers, providing superior control and a comfortable grip.

Designed with patient comfort in mind, the Sara Flex's foot platform is textured to provide optimal traction and reduce the risk of accidental slipping. A flexible, silicone panel acts as a resistor for the shins and knees to help in the raising and lowering process feel more natural, as the panel adjusts with the patient's movement. The lower legs are strapped in with similarly flexible silicone straps that stretch behind the patient's shins and conform for enhanced comfort. The lifting mast has a U-shaped crossbar at the top with an ergonomically shaped and angled handle on either end for patients to hold on to; this both reassures and steadies patients during the sit-to-stand motion.

Two batteries are included with the Sara Flex, along with a wall charger, allowing caregivers to have one battery in use and the other charging to ensure there is always a charged battery at the ready for transfers. An optional integrated scale weighs patients while they are on the lift and displays the measurement on the remote control for quick, easy readings that don't require a separate transfer to and from a stationary scale.

FAQ For Sara Flex Electric Sit-to-Stand Patient Transfer Aid by ArjoHuntleigh (FULLY ASSEMBLED)

? Have a question about this product? Click here to ask us!
Do I need the Central Hook to use slings with this lift?
Answer: The Central Hook Kit makes this lift compatible with universal slings from Arjohuntleigh, and is not necessary if you're using Sit-to-Stand slings.
My dad cannot sit up on his own, will this be able to lift him out of bed and stand him?
Answer: The Sara Flex is a Sit-To-Stand lift and is intended to help already sitting individuals into a standing position. If the patient cannot sit up on their own, then a caregiver would have to assist them into a sitting position before the lift could be of use.
Do all lifts offer walking harnesses or just some?
Answer: Unfortunately, the Sara Flex Aid is the only one that offers a walking harness in its package. However, it is an additional charge when you select a harness to add to the package.

The rest of our transfer aids need their harnesses to be purchased separately. It is best to order like-branded harnesses and transfer aids.
