The Elk Inflatable Emergency Lifting Cushion is a battery-powered lifting cushion. The fallen person can scoot to the cushion or be assisted, then the Elk is inflating easily and raises the fallen person to a seated position where they can rest and stand when ready.

This lift helps promote security and safety by minimizing the amount of movement and handling a person comes into contact with after falling.

All that's needed to use the lifting cushions are included, the cushions and the air compressor. No small accessories to keep track of and possibly lose. The Elk can lift up to 980 lbs, making it perfect for most people. Simply connect the four hoses from the hand control to the connectors on the Elk. The four buttons on the hand control correlate to the cushions. First, inflate '1' and continue through, allowing the fallen person to rise slowly until fully inflated.

The material is durable and ensures protection for your loved one. The material is also easy to be cleaned. The Elk is easy to store, as it compacts when deflated and is easy to transport.

A fall can be distressing to not only the person who falls but all those around. The Elk lifting cushion helps to make the occurrences after the fall as simple as possible and reduce post-fall injuries and trauma.

The Airflo 24 Air Compressor is more efficient and powerful than the Airflo Plus, providing a more durable unit than before. With its LED indicator, easily find the power button and view the power levels with a quick glance.

What happens if I get a puncture?

Answer: The incidences of puncture are rare. If a puncture does occur, then only the section of cushion with the damage would be affected – the remaining three will still operate. The lifting cushion will not burst like a balloon and there is no risk of injury to the patient from a rapid descent. If the puncture is small, then the cushion would still work though there would be an audible leak. Punctures cannot be repaired due to the pressure and load and damaged units have to be replaced.

What is the height of the inflated cushions with a 200 lb person sitting on it?

Answer: Without anyone on it, the inflated height is 22 inches. A person sitting on it will take it about 3 inches down, so I would expect it to be about 18-19 inches in that scenario.

How many pounds can this device sustain?

Answer: According to the manufacturer, this device can support up to 980-lbs.

Only way it could be improved is for the charge to last longer on each lift. It seems the battery is depleted very quickly when using.

Mom fell when hurricane was going over us at 8:00 pm. 911 was not able to come until 9:30 am next morning. I could not physically get her up. Product was packed very well. I havent had to use it yet. I am sleeping much better because I know if she falls again it will get her off of the floor. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing. Thanks so much.

Wonderful idea, but it is a bit wobbly as it inflates so you MUST guard the patient and give them something to hold on to. Perhaps a chair on either side of them to hold. I tried it on myself and found it tilted to the side a small bit, but enough that I had a hard time keeping my balance without a hand support. Once it is inflated, however, it is very sturdy. So just keep that in mind.
