The Exos Long Thumb Spica with BOA by Chattanooga provides primary support for the first metacarpalphalangeal (MCP) joint as well as the first carpometacarpal (CMC) joints. This product also provides secondary support for the radiocarpal and radioulnar wrist joints. The Exos Long Thumb Spica is also great for navicular (scaphoid) fractures as well as injuries or arthritis where the trapezium or trapezoid bones of the wrist have been involved. The thumb section can be shortened for more flexibility. The brace stops below the palmar crease to allow full function of the fingers. The features on this product allow for both stability, comfort, and fun as it is waterproof.
The sizing chart is provided where the consumer can choose their size based on their right or left hand. The product shows the specifications for how to measure the right/left hand in order to help guide the customer in finding the best fit possible. They do so by showing exactly how to wrap the Exos sizing tape, which is complimentary, around the hand in order to get the best measurement for the size the customer may need.
