The Platinum Shower Chair is made by the company known as IPU. IPU has added additional features to this particular model of their Platinum Shower Chairs including both a left side drop arm and sliding footrest. The left-side drop-arm has been added to this model to permit easier patient transfers. They have also added the sliding footrest that can be used for either patient stability, or a stool to use while shaving. The footrest also allows the patient to elevate their legs for a better bathing experience. Other features that are also included in the standard Platinum Shower Chair models are IPUs safety handgrip, backrest push handles, detachable front opening seat with a u-shape opening, as well as chairs 4 never-rusting casters. The chair can be purchased in three color options of either blue, red, or grey.

The Platinum Shower Chairs have been thoughtfully designed by Innovative Products Unlimted Inc. (IPU). This particular Platinum Shower Chair model differs from other Platinum Shower Chair Models because IPU has added a sliding footrest and a left-sided drop arm. Along with the stable foot placement the footrest provides, it can also be used as a stool to provide support while shaving. A footrest can also be highly beneficial for caregivers as they are given more access to the patient for proper bathing care. The left-drop-arm is included to make transfers much easier for caregivers. The drop arm ultimately gives the caregiver a way to quickly transfer the patient by sliding them from their shower chair to another seat relatively fast.

IPU has designed its Platinum Shower Chairs to include many features that add to the overall safety and comfort their chairs offer. The first being their newly molded and comfortable handgrips along the arms of the chair. Another great feature is the chair's snap-on seat feature that allows the seat to be taken off and cleaned. Both the seat and backrest of the chair are made of blow-molded plastic that gives the chair outstanding durability. Along with the plastic IPU has also included 4 never-rusting casters that are located on each of the 4 legs of the chair. The chair can be purchased in three color options of blue, red, or grey.
