The Seatara BathMobile Adjustable Shower and Commode Chair is a lightweight, versatile hygiene aid designed to restore freedom and independence to those with mobility limitations. The entire frame breaks down quickly and easily, and fits into the compact carry case (optional accessory), allowing users to bring bathroom safety with them wherever they go. A majority of the frame is made with Hitech injected plastic that is extremely durable without the weight associated with traditional heavy-duty plastics. All metal components, including bearings, are made of stainless steel to prevent rust and other corrosion. Both the metal and plastic parts, along with any and all upholstery, are water-resistant for compatibility with bathing.
Four smooth-rolling casters that swivel 360 degrees allow for flexible maneuverability that can clear tight corners; each caster has its own foot-activated wheel lock for safe stationary use. The top of the backrest features a curved bar that caregivers can use to propel the chair with more precise control over both direction and speed. A keyhole-style hygiene cutout makes the chair compatible with toileting; the open design allows the chair to be positioned directly over a freestanding toilet to eliminate the use of bedpans. The armrests can be independently flipped up out of the way to make transitions into and out of the chair easier as well as grant caregivers greater access to patients for care. Both footrests swing similarly out of the way so patient access to their chair is unobstructed; the plates of each footrest also flip up to suit patient comfort and needs.
A variety of accessories are available to customize the chair to meet your individual needs, including seat cushions, back cushions, and self-propulsion rear wheels. Please see below for a full list of accessories with images.
