The Pain Management Technologies Aqua Relief System offers hot or cold water therapy through the use of continuously circulated water being pumped into its patented wraps. This Aqua Relief System helps alleviate the pain from arthritis, muscular discomfort, and complications from diabetes. However, it is important to know when to use hot therapy and when to use cold therapy.

Cold therapy is to be used on areas where there is inflammation. An area will swell due to the body's natural reaction to injury, which is the need to isolate and immobilize the injured area. The body does this by sending increased blood flow to the area, which is why the tissue swells. The cold temperature is to decrease blood flow to the area, allowing for the healing process to occur and release pressure on the nerve receptors.

Heat therapy can be used on sore or stiff muscles. Heat therapy from the Aqua Relief System increases blood flow and increases mobility of the joints. This is ideal for a diabetic with poor circulation.

The Aqua Relief System has an adjustable temperature that ranges from 32F-110F and includes a timer that goes up to 1 hour. The product has patented designed diabetic socks and gloves. Once you put them on, the water bladder fits onto them ensuring a snug fit.
